BRANCEPETH ARCHIVES AND HISTORY GROUP

The Group is a section under the constitution of Brancepeth Community Association. Membership is open to any member of the Brancepeth Community Association – currently 5 per year.  Anyone wishing to join who is not already a Community Association member should contact the Secretary using the e-mail address below.

The Group is engaged in the research, dissemination, and preservation in a searchable archive, of all aspects of the history of the ancient and modern parishes of Brancepeth, the church and the castle.  Meetings are normally held in the Village Hall with guest speakers. The group also stages occasional exhibitions on topical subjects and takes stands at Local History events. We are always happy to provide any information on the history of Brancepeth or to receive information from anyone who lives, or whose family have lived, in the parish.
